10th Annual Deacon Picnic October 6, 2013
Mark your calendars! The 10th annual CPC Deacon Picnic will be held on October 6, 2013 at 4:00 at the church.
We will again be having family friendly activities and music for all to enjoy. The main course will be provided by the Deacons
(with options for both meat lovers and vegetarians). Sign-up sheets will be placed in the narthex around Labor Day to allow our
members to provide side items, desserts and other things needed to complete the meal.
Please plan to join us and help make the 10th Cornerstone Deacon Picnic the best ever. If you have any questions, please contact any Deacon.
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Please help spread the word, that a MOPS group will be starting this fall! MOPS is a group for moms of preschool-aged children birth-5 years old. We encourage and challenge one another to rest on God's strength in our journey as mothers. Through MOPS, moms help each other become better moms while learning new parenting skills and developing lasting friendships. If you are interested in joining our MOPS group, becoming a mentor, or just learning more, contact Michele Bicking at firstname.lastname@example.org
Foundations of Our Faith
What do we believe and why do we believe it? Join the Foundations of Our Faith Bible Study that will be led by Dr. Thrower to find out some of these answers. Class will be held every Tuesday morning at 10:30 and again at 7:00 pm beginning September 9. This eight week class will cover these topics: creation, the Bible, sin, covenant of works verse the covenant of grace, salvation and new life, Jesus, the Trinity, and apologetics. The class will meet in the sanctuary. For more information contact Tricia in the church office.
The Pilgrimage is a short course in Christian living which is designed to provide all Christians with a significant foundation for individual and community spiritual growth. Grace and growth are combined in an energetic way. At the Pilgrimage, the participants become increasingly aware that they are part of a community abounding in God’s grace. The three days are a triple encounter: with Christ, with Christian brothers and sisters, and with a Christian community. If you have any questions or are interested in participating, please contact Gina Davison.
